Dante Sica visited the areas of Engineering, Production and Hydraulic Laboratory and got details on the new technological projects carried out by the company.

Mendoza, January 10th, 2019.- Together with Juan Carlos Fernández, IMPSA’s CEO, Dante Sica, Minister of Production and Labor, could see projects under execution and get acquainted with the technological and productive capacity of the company.

“Minister Sica’s visit is very important for the company and its people. Today we could show IMPSA’s technological capacity and he could appreciate the manufacturing process of our main projects: Yaciretá’s turbines, the CAREM nuclear reactor, a furnace for YPF distillery and wind-powered generators”, stated Juan Carlos Fernández, IMPSA’s CEO.

Among other projects, he observed the progress of the manufacturing process of the world’s most efficient Kaplan turbine that will run the Yaciretá Hydroelectrical Power Station which is being restored just now and of the First Electricity-Generation Nuclear Reactor (CAREM, in Spanish), the prototype of which is of national origin entirely.

Sica was accompanied by Fernando Premoli, Argentina’s Secretary of Employment, and Lisadro Nieri, Minister of Government of Mendoza, among other officers.

With 111 years of experience and over 50,000 MW of installed capacity in more than 50 countries in the world, IMPSA has developed high added-value state-of-the-art technology for the sustainable and clean production of electricity. Nowadays, IMPSA employs over 750 people and outsources labor to hundredths of Mendoza and Argentina’s small and medium-sized companies.
