IMPSA participated in the 4th edition of the IEFA Latam Forum, a meeting that brought together leaders to discuss Latin America’s strategic role in the global economy.
Jorge Salcedo, the president of IMPSA, joined the panel “Navigating Global Shifts in the Renewable and Nuclear Market,” along with Federico Ramos Nápoli, Secretary of Nuclear Affairs; Juan Pablo Saltre, CEO of Ventus; and Martín Mandarano, CEO of YPF Luz.
There he emphasized, “We have unique expertise, especially in the market for small modular reactors, which are currently experiencing rapid growth in the United States. Argentina had been developing a small modular reactor, the Carem 25, a project that generated significant experience and knowledge, at least in the manufacture of the pressure vessel. What we have achieved, is to leverage that knowledge to complete  the CAREM 25 reactor vessel with private capital.  From there, we will work with CNEA to sell this expertise to the rest of the world. I believe this is a unique opportunity for IMPSA and the Argentine nuclear sector in the market.”
