IMPSA President Jorge Salcedo participated in the Mendoza Energy Summit, an event that brought together leading figures from the energy industry to analyze the sector’s main challenges and opportunities and discuss prospects for energy development.
During the panel “Energy Planning: Hydropower and Domestic Manufacturing of Capital Goods for Power Generation,” Salcedo highlighted the opportunities available to IMPSA in the modernization of hydropower plants, the reactivation of projects in Venezuela, and the growth of the nuclear industry, both in Argentina and in international markets.
In this context, he also highlighted the role of the domestic supply chain and Argentine talent in supporting the development of new projects, strengthening industrial capabilities, and expanding the presence of the national industry in international markets.
Referring to the current state and outlook of the energy industry, Jorge Salcedo stated: “We have the capabilities to contribute our experience and technology to the modernization of existing power plants and the development of new hydropower projects. At the same time, we see opportunities for growth in the nuclear sector and in markets such as the United States, where our capabilities can create value.”
