IMPSA, through its company Transapelt, moved the runner hub of the Kaplan turbine, which is more than 5 meters high, from its Technological Development Center, located in Mendoza, to the Yacyretá Hydroelectric Power Plant, in Ituzaingó.

It is the third of the six turbines that the company is developing for the Yacyretá Binational Entity (EBY), a hydroelectric Power Plant that supplies electricity to 50% of Argentine households.

The piece was designed with the highest quality technology and Artificial Intelligence programs developed by IMPSA engineers, which has made it possible to improve the efficiency of the water processes, so that it generates more energy with the same amount of water. It was entirely manufactured at the Technological Development Center and the on-site assembly was carried out together with the CIE consortium of Paraguay.
