The 55th anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), an intergovernmental organization of Southeast Asian states created on August 8, 1967 in order to accelerate economic growth and promote regional peace and stability, was celebrated.

The event was attended by Vice Chancellor Pablo Tettamanti and the President Pro Tempore of ASEAN, Vietnamese Ambassador Duong Quoc Thanh.

Vice Chancellor Pablo Tettamanti proposed working together to advance in new exchange agendas, especially those related to science and technology, renewable energies, nuclear energy, aerospace industry and artificial intelligence.

The meeting was also attended by the Ambassadors of the Republic of Indonesia, Niniek Kun Naryatie; of Malaysia, Nur Azman Abdul Rahim; of the Kingdom of Thailand, Krit Tankanarat and the Chargé d’Affaires of the Republic of the Philippines, Jason Jovencio Anasarias, together with other members of the Diplomatic Corps, high authorities of the Foreign Ministry, businessmen, members of the civil society and special guests
